Drive Through Mexico

Tati and Marconi talking before she takes a whack at driving this van

Our last getaway pic

A great idea for a picture turned into a wet backside after sitting in a waterfilled seat!

Patriotism at its best at the border lol

Last picture before we cross the border

First pics of Mexico!

Stray dogs

uh oh, Tati is getting tired, after hour 15

Mabe this will help . . . for a  little while

Keepin' it

Tampico was our first destination for the first night

A tight looking energy drink in the shape of a grenade!!!

our new friends Nigel and Nicolai in the van behind us

(Mexico City) example of a toll

These were everywhere!

She's in good spirits nooooow . .  just wait lol

Day two, we are in good humor though tired and in need of a shower

The bus tire sunk into warm tar on the road

LJ learns humility as we hail down semis in the street for an extended amount of time

messin around

beautiful country!

poor Tati - her ankles are swollen, her filling fell out of her mouth, she is so tired and miserable

lol this is a really good depiction of the last hours of the last day . . .

She is in another world

Barely making it lol

This is Nigel - one of the guys in the other car

tired and getting more and more retarded

Chetumal is the city we are aiming for! it is the city in Mexico on the border of Belize

The 5 hour energy has worn off . . . and she has drunk the whole 6 pack by now

Yep, I was wearing my glasses for a long enough time before Tati told me I had my apple sticker on them

Please notice the speed we are going here . . . the max we would ever go was 45! ah!! longest slowest trip ever!

We finally made it to Chetumal! and got to sleep in a bed at a hotel! It was a great hotel, but funny that the boxspring had astroturf on it!!

This was the Hotel we stayed at on the border

Us driving through the border

Some Mexican pigeons eating some stale bread
Us waiting a whole 10 hours at the place to pay duty and get our cars inspected.

A lady named Nori who drove us to the bank to get money to pay duty on our car

Still waiting . . . . .

Playing with Dominique Nigel and Nicolai's nephew - their sister met up with us. . . sweet baby!!

Sunday night, we finally make it, have a lot of minor setbacks that just meant waiting longer but all in all we are THRILLED TO BE DONE WITH THE TRIP THROUGH MEXICO!
